We will be leaving the Outdoor Pool Open after Labor Day!
From September 8-13th
  • Hours of Operation will be 9AM to 6PM 
  • Lap Swin from 9AM-10AM
  • Open to Homeowners at 10AM
*There will be no lifeguards on duty
so swimming will be at your own risk.

In early June 2015, Chris McKinley will begin the notification and signup process for the Salt Pond Hunts.  He will signup three hunters per day to archery hunt the Conservation Area (North of SkipJack Village and Bethany Loop).
The hunt dates (Hunting is not allowed on Sunday) will be:
October (5th - 10th)
November (2nd - 7th)
December (7th - 12th)
January 2016 (4th - 9th)

Yard Clean Up & Yard Waste

Summer yard clean up and yard maintenance is in full force.  When placing yard waste out for pick up the use of approved paper containers is required.  Also the bags can only be at the curb for a maximum of 4 days.

Trash & Recycling

Article VIII, Section 13 of our Covenants states that “Each lot owner shall provide a screened area to serve as a service yard and an area in which garbage receptacles, etc., and other unsightly objects must be placed or stored in order to conceal them from the road and adjacent properties.” All receptacles also must be hidden from view of the golf course. The deadline for following the above policy is June 1, 2015.

2015 Lighting Update

Dear Saltponders,
As a result of homeowner interest, the board of directors has approved the recommendation of the architectural review committee that provides for an alternative lamp post. In addition to the old Satco type, you may now opt for the Everstone S11C type, with a black or white post, a large, clear globe, and 75W illumination. Since most lamp posts are 8' and most people put 2' in the ground, the required height will be about 6'. It is available at Denny Electric. Please recall that the standard guidelines require a photo sensor for each type.

Light Posts & Exterior Lighting
For the safety and security of the community it is important to maintain a working lamp post.  Your lamp should be on from dusk to dawn.  It is also important that your house number is illuminated during this time in the event emergency vehicles need to identify your address.

Individual Lot Reflectors
The committee is not in favor of any reflectors; however the guidelines permit them under landscaping accessories. (Part 2 Site Development, section C Landscape accessories) It has been our policy to permit the neighbors of homes under construction, to install reflectors to protect their property from the construction traffic. We feel that some additional “community installed” piling w/a reflector could be installed on certain corners in the community. This would reduce some of the individual reflectors. Since the specifications are already in the Architectural Standards, the following requirements will be required.
  • Individual reflectors should be installed at a 12” minimum height and a maximum 15” height.
  • The reflector color should be red.
  • The reflectors should be placed no closer than 14 feet apart. (This equates to a maximum of four reflectors installed for a “typical” lot.  
  • Reflectors should be maintained to be in a vertical position.

Pickle Ball
 Pickle Ball is currently meeting every Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.  Please call the attendant's desk at 302-539-7547 for confirmation that it is scheduled.  In addition, you may check the schedule on the bulletin board in the mail room as well as at the attendant’s desk.  The Recreation Committee has purchased balls and rackets for those that would like to try this new sport on Tennis Court Number 2.  We have had approximately 15 to 20 homeowner’s participating in this   new sport being offered.  We also want to encourage those that are interested to comeout and observe to see if they may be interested.
